Confirmation Blues
Alito Sworn In as Supreme Court Justice
Byrd, W.Va. (very disappointing...)
Conrad, N.D.
Johnson, S.D.
Nelson, Neb.
Jeffords voted no as expected, and Chafee (as discussed in an earlier post) was let off-leash briefly to re-establish his moderate bona-fides in order to bamboozle Rhode Island Democrats into voting for him again next election. So-called moderate Specter (who also bamboozled Dems into re-electing him in 2004) voted yes.
