Congress, Schmongress

George "la Loi c'est Moi" Bush is offended that Congress has the nerve to think he needs to get their permission.

WASHINGTON, Jan. 26 — President Bush declared again on Thursday that his administration's program for eavesdropping without warrants was well within existing law, and said that efforts in Congress to write legislation expressly giving him authority for such a program were unnecessary and dangerous.

"My concern has always been that in an attempt to try to pass a law on something that's already legal, we'll show the enemy what we're doing," Mr. Bush said in a wide-ranging morning news conference in the White House press briefing room. The president added that if the effort to write a new law "is likely to expose the nature of the program, I'll resist it."
Uhh, George? I don't think al Qaeda was at all surprised to hear you were listening in on their calls. The American people, on the other hand, were surprised to learn that you were doing a wee bit more than just that. And it's highly probable that they would be apalled if you were to hang the shit-stained sheets you used to hide this program out in public. How do you think John Q. Public will feel when he finds out you've been snooping on his calls to his bookie? Or to his mistress?

Dubya knows he's dogmeat the second we all find out just what the shift supervisors at the NSA have been up to, so he has to keep lying his ass off. Pretty soon the boy won't have any ass left at all. Why, he's already half-assed.
