Fair and Balanced

Why are “news personalities” in the SCLM straining their milk to paint the Abramoff scandal as a bi-partisan affair? This morning, for example, Charles Gibson on “Good Morning America” made sure he punched out the phrase “from BOTH parties” when describing those who may have been tainted by Abramoff’s largesse. The GMA piece then went on to describe how Abramoff had been a “rising star in the Republican party” and alluded to his close association with House Majority Leader Tom DeLay. So who on the other side of the aisle is quaking in their Guccis? No names were mentioned, although some Dems appeared on a quick scroll-by list (shown without comment) of those who “received money from Abramoff clients”--all done, apparently, to create the impression of equal culpability without providing any real evidence.

I’m all for letting the chips fall where they may, but WTF?
