Politics and Science

Don't mix. Or at least they shouldn't. Yet we see an ever-increasing politicization of science under the GOP.

Now I can understand why politicians would go along with anti-environmentalist propaganda in order to please their owners in the oil, automotive, and highway construction industries. But what is it that inspires such passionate opposition to good environmental stewardship on the part of their right-wing constituents?

Like my father used to say to me, "what, were you raised in a barn?"
