Our man in the UN, Johnny "The Legbreaker" Bolton, threatens the ambulatory capabilities of fellow members over--get this--opposition to human rights abuse. Ya think maybe Johnny thinks his boss has something to hide? Think about it--here we are, the putative beacon of rights and liberty to the entire world, and we adamantly oppose creation of a council concerned with promoting the very things we claim to be spreading in Iraq. Well, we're spreading something, and it stinks. Can you say "Abu Ghraib," boys and girls?

U.S. Opposes U.N.'s Planned Rights Panel

UNITED NATIONS, Feb. 27 -- The Bush administration will oppose a U.N.-backed resolution calling for the creation of a council to expose the world's worst human rights abusers, John R. Bolton, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said Monday.
