Armageddon Worried, Part IV

While we've been breaking the back of our military in Iraq, the rest of the world has been playing nuke catch-up. This assministration's criminal inattention to nuclear proliferation--worse, deliberate outing of operatives working in the area for political purposes--may come back to bite us in the ass. Not them--they'll be long retired from politics, working for Halliburton, Carlyle, the AEI and other rest homes for the rich and soulless--and the SS will be ever at the ready to rush them to Strangelovian bunkers should the unthinkable happen.

Aljazeera.Net - Pakistan tests nuclear-capable missile
A military statement on Sunday said the Hatf-II/Abdali ground-to-ground missile had a range of 200km and could carry "nuclear and other types of warheads".

The statement said: "All planned technical parameters were validated."

It gave no further details nor the site of the test, which was announced as Pervez Musharraf, the Pakistan president, was due to leave for a five-day state visit to China.

In a reference to neighbouring countries, the statement said advance notice had been given to "all concerned".
