Leaks are bad!
Except when the administration does the leaking. And their leaks are always to provide political cover, even at the expense of national security (see Plame, Valerie). Now we have a hack columnist from a right-wing rag claiming he got a classified security briefing?!? What the fuck? "Oh, if I could only talk about [wink wink, nudge nudge] the great and mighty things our good buddies in the UAE are doing to fight the evildoers, you'd realize what a wise and bold move this is and that our Dear Leader is incapable of error in the War on Terror." Gack! I think I'm gonna hurl.
Media Matters - Fund cryptically suggested that he "got a security briefing" on UAE anti-terror efforts that he "can't talk about"

FUND: One of the saddest things in this whole debate has been the things we can't talk about.
There are things -- and I got a security briefing on this today --
there are things the United Arab Emirates has done to support the war
on terrorism that are brave, that have put that government at risk,
that we can't talk about, and our government can't talk about, because it would only mean more terrorist attacks on the United Arab Emirates.
