Peppering While Intoxicated

The standard number of drinks drivers pulled over for suspected DWI admit to: two beers. Our twice-convicted drunk-driving veep does that one better.

The Vice President also revealed that he had a beer at a picnic held earlier in the day at the ranch, at least four to five hours before the shooting.
Perhaps he did have a beer 4-5 hours prior to the shooting--followed by six more, two gin and tonics, and five tequila shots over the ensuing 4-5 hours. Is it irresponsible to speculate? In the immortal words of that inimitable wingnut Peggy Noonan, it would be irresponsible not to.
