Unfair criticism?

This criticism of our Vice Commander-in-Chief really isn't fair. After all, it's pretty damn difficult to offer a credible apology while snarling.

Cheney's Response A Concern In GOP
Vice President Cheney's slow and unapologetic public response to the accidental shooting of a 78-year-old Texas lawyer is turning the quail-hunting mishap into a political liability for the Bush administration and is prompting senior White House officials to press Cheney to publicly address the issue as early as today, several prominent Republicans said yesterday.
How unfortunate for the GOP: the veep shoots a man and it's becoming a political liability. Maybe they could be a bit more concerned about the act itself and, most importantly, the victim?
