...is protecting their phony-baloney jobs. Never mind what may or may not be in the country's best interests--what do I need to do to buy your vote? Immigration is, granted, a valid issue, but pandering to the xenophobic GOP base is not the path to honest, open debate. There is a solution, however: ELECT DEMOCRATS.

Immigration Bills May Split Republicans

Many Republicans, especially those from the West, have said passage of legislation to enforce border security is vital to their reelection, and do not want this merged with other measures that would open up work options for immigrants.
