What, no lap dance for Clarence Thomas? No tasseled pasties? No thong snapping? What the hell was the "media throng" expecting, anyway? A Janet Jackson moment with Anna flashing Scalito followed by a sly wink? A note to John Roberts saying, "Meet me in my dwessing womb after the show"?

Anna Nicole Smith had her day in the Supreme Court yesterday. But to the palpable frustration of a media throng, she kept it low key.

Fully clothed in black, the 38-year-old former Playboy Playmate of the Year sat quietly in the back of the courtroom, listening intently to lawyers' arguments before exiting without comment through a side entrance.
Fully clothed, eh? Funny thing about money--it makes you do things you wouldn't normally do.
