The man who wasn't there

Moussaoui seems to be trying for the death penalty in order to escape life imprisonment in Gitmo...or worse. Perhaps he hopes to go out as a martyr in a blaze of "glory;" perhaps he despairs of ever seeing the light of day again. In any case, look to the prosecution to go for the viscera as they attempt to nail all of the anger, pain, and anguish of 9/11 to Moussaoui's cross.

A day after Zacarias Moussaoui testified that he was supposed to hijack a fifth airplane on Sept. 11, 2001, and fly it into the White House, his defense attorneys read statements from several other alleged terrorists questioning Moussaoui's competence and saying that they do not believe he was involved in the plot.
