Peak Oil Cometh
Our oil-driven economy sits on the edge of a knife. Unfortunately, this knife-edge is constantly being whetted by consumption and grows sharper with each passing day. Eventually it will grow so thin and sharp that it will slice the developed world in pieces. That is, if we haven't found a way to manage without mass quantities of cheap oil.
The stability margin will only shrink as peak oil approaches. Human intervention in the form of jihadist attacks on the oil supply will thus have a greater and greater effect on the world economy as time passes. Isn't it time we woke up and smelled the Texas Tea?
