WASHINGTON (April 4) - Succumbing to scandal, former Majority Leader Tom Delay intends to resign from Congress within weeks, closing out a career that blended unflinching conservatism with a bare-knuckled political style.

"Unflinching conservatism" wasn't the only the only thing he "blended." Add shameless corruption, overreaching ambition, arrogance, duplicity, greed, dishonesty, hypocrisy, and brutality to the mix and you begin to approximate the foul formula that was both the making and unmaking of the Bugman.
