What, Me Apologize?

At the U.N., Bluster Backfires

Last month President Bush issued a rare apology. "Saying 'Bring it on,' kind of tough talk, you know, that sent the wrong signal," he confessed. "I think in certain parts of the world it was misinterpreted."

Well done, Mr. President, you've understood that bluster can backfire. Now how about sharing this insight with your ambassador to the United Nations?
No, all he's learned is that offering an incredibly weak non-apology will make the media piddle on the floor like the good lapdogs they are. Dubya has all the insight of a sea cucumber. And his pissboy at the UN, John Bolt-On, has all the insight of sea cucumber shit. Heaven hasten the day when this incompetent cadre sleeps with the fishes, politically speaking.
