Armageddon-seeking Christianists of the hyper-dispensationalist persuasion would no doubt gladly put the aforementioned spin on Jeremiah 8:22. But they do err, knowing neither the Scriptures nor the power of God. All those who militate for war (John Hagee and your minions, are you listening?) are condemned by the words of the One they claim to serve: "Happy are those who work for peace, for they will be called the sons and daughters of God."
