Stick it to the Democrats

This is the GOP "strategery" for Iraq. String the nation along until the Democrats take the White House in 2008, then blame them for a) withdrawal and the ensuing chaos or b) continued presence in Iraq and the concomitant death toll. It's a win-lose proposition for them-- or at least they think so now. The Dems need to stuff that shit down their craven craws ASAP.

By the way-- if there was ever a reason for the non-insane Republican base to abandon the GOP, this is it.
