Cal Thomas is an unctuous hypocrite

What an arrogant son of a bitch. Here he presumes to be able to assess the genuineness of Senator Clinton's faith, a skill that - last time I checked - God alone possessed. Not only that, he repeats the right-wing lie that there is a dichotomy between "do-good" pursuits and true Christianity. Funny, I thought "do-good" pursuits were the practical outward evidence of true inward Christianity, while the judgmentalism and self-righteousness that ooze from Thomas' every pore were its antithesis.

Thomas' argument is ridiculously inconsistent and dishonest in any case - unless, of course, he's happy to consign aborted fetuses, newborns who die without baptism, and/or children who die before they're old enough to understand right from wrong (much less old enough to understand "the central tenets of Christianity") to eternal hellfire. The man has the perspicacity of pigeon droppings.

Gonna be some folks shocked as shit come Judgment Day.

Media Matters - Cal Thomas: Hillary Clinton is "not a person who believes in the central tenets of Christianity"

In his July 10 nationally syndicated column, Cal Thomas discussed a July 7 New York Times article that reported that Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-NY) "said she believed in the resurrection of Jesus, though she described herself as less sure of the doctrine that being a Christian is the only way to salvation." Thomas asserted: "This is a politician speaking, not a person who believes in the central tenets of Christianity." He went on to suggest that a Christian cannot believe that "there are other ways to God than through Jesus."
