Sieg Hiatt

Apparently Fred Hiatt believes the Bill of Rights to be "an unnecessary and potentially disruptive precedent."

Progress on Surveillance - washingtonpost.com
An amendment to the Senate bill by Oregon Democrat Ron Wyden would go too far by requiring that a warrant be obtained when U.S. citizens are the target of surveillance overseas; this would be an unnecessary and potentially disruptive precedent.
Allow me to present the Mother of All Precedents for Hiatt and all the other fascists out there - neo, paleo, crypto, proto, or otherwise - who have never so much as glanced at a copy of the US Constitution:
Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Now, what part of "shall not be violated" don't you fucking understand?
