The elephant in the room

The room: The Oval Office.
The Elephant: So many impeachable offenses we've lost count.

Glenn Greenwald - Salon.com
Torture and the rule of law
Glennzilla once again hits the coffin nail squarely on the head, only there's no cemetery willing to inter the dead conscience of American politics. Worse yet, zombie pundits fill our teevee screens and our Internets with soulless rationalizations of our government's lawlessness, manipulated - dead as they are - by the unseen hands of their corporate masters, mindlessly mouthing meaningless mush meant to send those of us who are still alive into a screaming paroxysm of rage, to the point where our heads explode and we no longer trouble their undead dreams. All this, and we get to pay for it through our sweat and toil and taxes.

"More and better Democrats!" we cry? And who the fuck is it that runs both houses of Congress today? No - more protest; more civil disobedience; more "I'M MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANY MORE!" is what this country needs. After all, as that radical anarchist Thomas Jefferson once wrote, a little rebellion every now and then is a good thing. No?
