And the good news just keeps on coming...

Paul Volcker: Economic Crisis May Be Worse Than Great Depression
NEW YORK — "Even the experts don't quite know what's going on."

Speaking to a number of those experts Friday, Paul Volcker, a top economic adviser to President Barack Obama, cited not only the lack of understanding of the global financial meltdown but the "shocking" speed with which it had spread across the world.
Given the dire state of the now-trashed global economy, I am astounded that our exalted leadership has assigned the salvage duty to the very people who wrecked the joint to begin with, the selfsame "experts" who "don't quite know what's going on." Moreover, it's clear that these experts want above all else to preserve the current order and their special place within it; those outside the walls of the feudal manor can go to hell for all they care. To paraphrase one of their own**, "Is this the chance and hope you mentioned, Barack"?
