1. Projection:
   1. The attribution of one's own attitudes, feelings, or suppositions to others: “Even trained anthropologists have been guilty of unconscious projection—of clothing the subjects of their research in theories brought with them into the field” (Alex Shoumatoff).
   2. The attribution of one's own attitudes, feelings, or desires to someone or something as a naive or unconscious defense against anxiety or guilt.

O'Reilly is a regular Zeiss Projector when it comes to all those slimy little sins sequestered in his seamy soul.

Media Matters - O'Reilly claimed "[d]isgusting, despicable" Air America Radio only does "personal attacks"

Now, they do that all day, every day, 24/7, and dishonest people like Sylvester Brown present it as serious. This is the kind of stuff that the far left is notorious for. This is what they do. They're a dishonest bunch. They have no scruples at all. Personal attacks all day long.

Just listen to Air America. You want personal attacks, put that on. Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. That's all they do. All right. If you don't agree with them, then they come after you personally. Disgusting, despicable. I despise them. I despise them.
