British Home Secretary: Another Terrorist Attack is 'Highly Likely'

LONDON, Aug. 13 -- British Home Secretary John Reid warned Sunday that another attempted terrorist attack is "highly likely," while British police prolonged the detention of all but one of the original two dozen suspects accused of plotting to explode multiple airplanes destined for the United States.

Reid told BBC television that at least four major terrorist plots had been thwarted in the past year, but "the threat of a terrorist attack in the United Kingdom is still very substantial."
