Mitzvahs for Mel

My proposals (in all seriousness):

1. Mel should buy a Torah scroll for a local synagogue.

2. Mel should undergo bar mitzvah training at a progressive local synagogue. He should then make his appearance in front of the synagogue's congregation--in a Catholic church--for his first aliyah.

Proposals Abound for Mel Gibson Healing

NEW YORK -- A Yom Kippur appearance at a synagogue. A trip to Washington's Holocaust museum. A circumcision? Ever since Mel Gibson said he wanted the Jewish community to help him make amends for his anti-Semitic comments, suggestions have been pouring in, some in jest and some quite serious.
