A different take on DADT repeal

...different and a bit cynical.

While there is no doubt that DADT repeal is a hard-fought victory, I can't help but wonder why, given the usual right-wing obstructionism encountered by the forces of "progress," the bill managed to pass. I find it hard to believe that the virulent homophobes in Congress suddenly sprouted bleeding hearts and were thus moved to do the right thing. Could it be that the military-industrial-security-financial complex finally realized that "full spectrum dominance" requires as many bodies as they can get their claws on?

LGBT Americans can now die openly fighting criminal wars launched on false pretenses. But they still can't get married.
